Ann Coulter’s Jaw Wired Shut
Ann Coulter may be completely silenced, at least for a while.
If the New York Post’s Page Six report is true, Coulter broke her jaw and her mouth is wired shut:
Volkswagen Road To MLS Cup Web Miniseries
Volkswagen of America released the first three webisodes in a series of six to support the “VW Road to MLS Cup” campaign. The fun and engaging webisodes follow the actions of Deb, an overly passionate and self-proclaimed “#1 soccer mom” played by Mo Collins whose past credits include Mad TV and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. In the webisodes, Deb and several leading MLS players get into all sorts of crazy predicaments while taking the new MLS Cup trophy to the Championship game in Los Angeles in Deb’s Volkswagen Routan Minivan. The first three installments, entitled “It Begins,” “Juice Box” and “Pick Up Game” can now be seen at www.vwRoadtoMLScup.com.

Man Bra Top Seller in Japan
Who said bras are only for women? A Japanese online lingerie retailer is selling bras for cross-dressing men and they’ve quickly become one of its most popular items.
Since launching two weeks ago on Rakuten, a major Japanese web shopping mall, the Wishroom shop has sold over 300 men’s bras for 2,800 yen ($30) each. The shop also stocks men’s panties, as well as lingerie for women.
“I like this tight feeling. It feels good,” Wishroom representative Masayuki Tsuchiya told Reuters as he modeled the bra, which can be worn discreetly under men’s clothing.
Wishroom Executive Director Akiko Okunomiya said she was surprised at the number of men who were looking for their inner woman.
“I think more and more men are becoming interested in bras. Since we launched the men’s bra, we’ve been getting feedback from customers saying ‘wow, we’d been waiting for this for such a long time’,” she said.
But the bra, available in black, pink and white, is not an easy sell for all men.
The underwear has stirred a heated debate online with more than 8,000 people debating the merits of men wearing bras in one night on Mixi, Japan’s top social network website.

Burger King Drops His Wallet You Win
A handful of bloggers have been abuzz in the past week with news of the latest under-the-radar Burger King promotion. The fast food chain has dispensed agents across major U.S. cities (indications are it’s just been Chicago and Orlando so far) to “lose” wallets. However, when unsuspecting passersby find these wallets and open them, they discover an interesting message….

Snapple Introduces Snappier Look, New Formula
Snapple, one of the original “new age” alternatives to soda, is getting a makeover as its owner grapples with sliding U.S. sales.
Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc., the beverage business spun off from Cadbury PLC in May, is revamping Snapple’s look and tweaking the formulation of its tea to try to revive consumer interest, saying tightened wallets and discounting by competitors have cut into sales. Far from the corny ads, ad hoc plugs from Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh, and other ploys that catapulted the drink to cultlike status in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Snapple’s current owner plans …

What the Google Phone Stole from the iPhone
There is a story that Steve Jobs likes to tell about fonts. In 1972, Jobs enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Ore.; after a semester, seeing little value in college, he dropped out. But Jobs hung around Portland—he crashed in friends’ dorm rooms, recycled Coke bottles to buy food, and sat in on several courses that he found interesting. One of these was a calligraphy class; it was there that Jobs first realized the simple, underappreciated beauty of the written language on a page. Calligraphy, he recalled in a 2005 commencement speech at Stanford, was “beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can’t capture, and I found it fascinating.”
